Sandman – 2 String Bass

I’ve been listening to a lot of Morphine lately and decided to take a shot at a two string bass in the style of frontman Mark Sandman.  I went with a 30″ scale to lessen the tension on the neck since the strings are (flat wound) an A tuned up to D and a G tuned up to an A.  The slightly higher action allows for easy slide playing, though individual notes can still easily be fretted.  I added a mini humbucker, volume and tone controls to give a wide range of sound.
